Ferron Sandstone revisited...

...with google street view!

One of my todays main achievements is that I figured out how to get google earth working on my linux system. After several months without playing with this nice little tool, I really enjoyed to take a tour. I discovered the street view mode and played around a little bit. It is a fancy feature and it is not only suitable for spotting girls in central park. Even better, it is perfect for exploring road side geology. For instance, I found my beloved little fluvial channel of the Ferron sandstone on which I reported earlier.

Cool, isn't it?!

Way cool! I didn't even know you could do that. Now there's another way to spend time on the internet!

That's quite nice! Up to now I thought that these views are only available in large cities.

And now that you've got Google Earth running, you could try to revive the current WoGE, which is not really getting anywhere since well over a month… ;-)

Thanks for the comments!

Effjot, do you want me to unravel the current WoGE? Will do my best!

Yes, that would be great.

Although Peter's puzzles are usually quite hard, I also think that by now quite some people have stopped playing WoGE. So we need fresh blood. ;-)

I keep forgeting to subscribe to Peter's feed - though I thought I did that! - so I don't always know where the WOGE is. Oh well. I won once!!

Don't worry, Silver Fox. The WoGE is at the same place since forever, so it's not so hard to hunt down. ;-)
